Last month, Affinity China organized an event in partnership with the Peninsula Hotel in Shanghai and Shanghai Tang.
The gala event was described as an opportunity for those involved – including Mainland Chinese socialites, celebrities, and high level executives – to partake in a wine tasting, preview items by select luxury brands, and have an up close look at a Lamborghini parked inside the ballroom. The exclusive event was focused on the customer experience.
Guests interviewed in this news segment on the gala were impressed with the format. Bloomberg TV recently aired a segment that featured Chinese actress and Affinity China member Betty Ni browsing real estate in Manhattan. Betty is part of a growing wave of Chinese investors buying real estate in New York. Christine Lu, CEO of Affinity China, states in an interview that the prices of homes in New York City are in fact less expensive than those in comparable major Chinese cities like Shanghai, and for real estate shoppers, it makes more financial sense to purchase in the U.S. The segment also suggests that Chinese real estate shoppers believe in a possible gain in property value with the future improvement of the American economy.Read More »

On June 18, the Soong Ching Ling - Miss Universe China Beauty Charity Gala was hosted by Yue Sai Kan in Shanghai.
